Who is Ludacris?
Ludacris is one busy guy these days. The Atlanta born rapper and actor is reported to have signed a lengthy contract with Island Def Jam Music who supports Ludacris’ label, Disturbing the Peace. It’s great to know that Ludacris will be entertaining us for a long time to come.
Ludacris was born Christopher Brian Bridges in Champaign, Illinois on September 11, 1977. Rap had caught the attention of Christopher and he was rapping by the age of 9. He attended school in Atlanta where his family moved attaining a degree from Georgia State University. That helps explain Ludacris’ visit in early May to his old high school. He talked to the students about the importance of education. The other reason for his visit was to attend the renaming of the gymnasium to the Christopher Bridges Gym. It’s a great honor and Ludacris has earned a reputation as not only one of the great rappers of all time but also as a guy who shares his success and gives back to the community.
In April 2008, Ludacris gave a dinner party at his new restaurant in Atlanta, called Straits Atlanta. Proceeds from the dinner went to support HIV/AIDS program needs. Ludacris then appeared on the same night performing a second show in Atlanta, the proceeds of which went to the Ludacris Foundation that helps young people find their way in life towards fulfilling dreams and becoming successful.
